Small Games of Chance Meeting

Thursday, July 29, 2010  State Representative Jake Corman will be holding a hearing in reference to the "Small Games of Chance" issues that could affect the future of Firehouse across the Commonwealth. This meeting is scheduled to take place Wednesday August 4th 2010 at 1900 hours at Lambert Hall (303 Forge Road, Bellefonte). The Officers and Member of the Undine Fire Company are asking for your Fire Company Officials to come out and attend this meeting. Remember this could affect the future of our Firehouse's! Please plan to attend!


 
 

Operation Save A Life

Saturday, May 22, 2010  The Undine Fire Company is proud to announce we are participating in “The Save a Life Program” in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State Fire Commissioners Office. This program consists of the installation of new 10 year life smoke detector across our fire protection district. We can issue a total of (4) smoke detectors for each household.

 Please contact us at 814-355-7265 or stop in at the Firehouse, located at 133 East Bishop Street in Bellefonte to schedule one of our firefighters to deliver and install each detector in order to guarantee correct installation and operation.


 
 

Fire Police Call

Wednesday, July 28, 2010 0835 hours Centre County 911 alerted Local Box 124 at the request of Spring Township Police who were on the scene of a vehicle accident in front of 707 Pleasent View Boulevard in Spring Township. Chief 202 (Baney) placed the box in service at 0911 hours.


 
 

Auto Fire on the "I"

Tuesday, July 27, 2010 1858 hours Centre County 911 alerted Fire Box 180 for a report of a passenger car on fire at mile marker 162 Westbound of Interstate 80 in Marion Township. R/E-114 and E-210 arrived on the scene and found a tire was rubbing the inner fender of the car causing it to smoke. Crews cleared at 1915 hours.


 
 

House of in Lower Coleville

Tuesday, July 27, 2010 0530 hours Centre county 911 alerted Fire Box 124 for a reported working house fire at 307 Lower Coleville Road in Spring Township. 911 Staff advised Department Chief 5600 (Bruno) they were taking multiple calls. Chief Bruno arrived on the scene and reported a well involved dwelling endangering two other dwellings. Due to poor water supply from the hydrants, tankers were added to the box. Command placed Box 124 in service at 1102 hours.

   

 

Landing Zone Assingment

Tuesday, July 27, 2010 0013 hours Centre County 911 alerted Local Box 211 at the request of Medic 2448 to set up a Landing Zone for Life Flight at Lambert Hall 303 Forge Road in Bellefonte, due to a patient having a medical emergency. Engine 210 responded on the box under the command of Captain 293 (Pressler). Command placed Box 211 in service at 0046 hours.


 
 

Personal Injury Accident

Monday, July 26, 2010 1616 hours Centre County 911 alerted Rescue Box 124 for a single vehicle accident with injuries in front of 717 Pleasant View Boulevard in Spring Township. Chief 1406 (Penland) was on the scene and reported (4) patients with no entrapment. Department Chief 5600 (Bruno) arrived on the scene and assumed the command on fire ground 2. Command placed Box 124 in service at 1705 hours.

   

 

Fire Alarm

Monday, July 26, 2010 1315 hours Centre County 911 alerted Fire Box 137 for a reported Automatic Fire Alarm sounding in a residence at 139 Willow Bend Drive in Benner Township. E-111 arrived on the scene followed by the Tower Ladder and found a light smoke condition inside the home. Crews found a smoldering log in the fire place was the cause. Captain 191 (Persic) placed Box 137 in service at 1339 hours.


 
 

Personal Injury Accident

Sunday, July 25, 2010 2313 hours Centre County 911 alerted Rescue Box 211 for a reported vehicle accident with injuries at the 1100 Block of East Bishop Street in Bellefonte. Department Chief 5600 (Bruno) arrived on the scene and reported (2) patients out of the vehicle with the vehicle upside down into a fire hydrant with a water leak. Chief Bruno placed Box 211 in service at 0136 hours.


 
 

Hazardous Conditions

Sunday, July 25, 2010 1319 hours Centre County 911 alerted Local Box 231 for a report of a large tree blocking the highway on the Benner Pike and Stone Crest Drive. Captain 192 (Shaw) arrived on the scene and with the assistance of the R/E-114’s crew they were able to clear the debris from the roadway. Captain Shaw placed Box 231 in service at 1338 hours.
