Aircraft In Distress In Benner Township

Monday, October 1, 2012 14:25 hour  Centre County 911 alerted Fire Box 5631 for a Aircraft in Distress at the University Park Airport 2499 Fox Hill Road in Benner Township. Centre County 911 advised of a Aircraft in Distress with Smoke coming from the cockpit and that the Aircraft had a five minute eta before landing at the Airport. 2031 responded and arrived on the scene with the Aircraft on the ground with a safe landing. Prior to Fire Units responding 2031 placed Fire Box 5631 available at 14:36 hours

   


 

Mutual Aid Dwelling Fire In Walker Township

Sunday, September 30, 2012 17:22 hour  Centre County 911 alerted Fire Box 1601 for a Dwelling Fire at 340 Heritage Lane in Walker Township. Caller stated that there was smoke coming from the house and that they were not sure where it was coming from. 1600 responded and was updated by Centre County 911 that the caller called back stating that is was burnt food on the stove. 1600 held all Fire Units in quarters and placed Fire Box 1601 available at 17:38 hours

   


 

Chief Call In Spring Township

Tuesday, September 25, 2012 05:48 hour  Centre County 911 alerted Fire Box 124 for a furnance malfunction at 129 Baron Way in Spring Township. Chief 100 handled the call and was placed available at 06:06 hours

   


 

Fire Police Assist Pennsylvania State Police

Monday, September 24, 2012 09:27 hour  Centre County 911 alerted Fire Box 211 for Fire Police at the scene of that mornings fire at 141 South Spring Street in the Borough of Bellefonte. Department 56 Fire Police assisted in closing off the area to the public while PSP investigated the Fire. Department 56 Fire Police placed Fire Box 211 available at 14:03 hours

   


 

3rd Alarm Building Fire In The Borough

Monday, September 24, 2012 04:18 hour  Centre County 911 alerted Fire Box 211 for a report of a working Building fire at 141 South Spring Street in the Borough of Bellefonte.911 staff were reporting  multiple calls stating heavy fire from a storage warehouse behind the Dollar General Store. Ambulance 2651 arrived on the scene and confirmed heavy fire with the building fully involved. Chief 100 arrived on the scene and assumed command and up-graded the box to a 2nd alarm. Tower Ladder 216 arrived on the scene and set up on the B Side of the Dollar General. Engine 210 secured a water supply from the hydrant and supplied the Tower Ladder.  Rescue 818(Pleasant Gap) established R.I.T. Command then up-graded to a 3rd alarm. Engine 111 secured a secondary water supply and was assigned to the alley on the D side. Engine/Rescue 914 (Milesburg) completed a reverse lay from E-111 to the race at Spring Creek to assure a secondary water source was maintained. Tower Ladder 516 (State College) was staged in the parking lot across from the Dollar General while the crew assisted with attack of the fire. Engine 212 secured a water supply off Stoney Batter, and then assisted the Towers Crew and Engine 210s crew. Engine 810 (Pleasant Gap) arrived on the scene and assisted Engine/Rescue 914 with the draft site operations and over-haul of the structure. Engine 1610 (Walker Township) crew also assisted with overhaul of the structure.  Command placed Fire Box 211 was placed available at 08:48 hours

Automatic Fire Alarm In The Borough

Saturday, September 22, 2012 10:35 hour  Centre County 911 alerted Fire Box 5610 for a automatic fire alarm at 103 North Allegheny Street in the Borough of Bellefonte. 102 was on the scene and confirmed a false trip. 102 placed Fire Box 5610 available at 10:36 hours

   


 

Tower On Mutual Aid Fire Box

Friday, September 21, 2012 03:34 hour Centre County 911 alerted Fire Box 605 for a working dwelling fire at 250 Gorton Road in Snow Shoe Township. Tower Ladder 216 responded and while en-route was placed available prior to arrival at 04:01 hours .

   


 

Furnace Malfunction in the Borough

Thursday, September 20, 2012 09:19 hour  Centre County 911 alerted Fire Box 111 for a dwelling fire at 517 East Curtain Street in the Borough of Bellefonte. The homeowner advised that the basement was filling with smoke. 204(Pressler) arrived on the scene and assumed command. Engine 210 responded and 204 advised of a furnace malfunction. He then held the Box to Engine 210 for ventilation. 204 placed Fire Box 111 available at 09:46 hours 

   


 

Outside Investigation In The Borough

Wednesday, September 19, 2012 19:38 hour  Centre County 911 alerted Fire Box 5610 for a outside investigation at 100 West Linn Street in the Borough of Bellefonte. A caller stated that the can see a large column of smoke in the area of the Elementary School. 5600 responded and Engine 210, 5600 was up-dated by Bellefonte Police Department that it was a controlled burn. 5600 then placed Fire Box 5610 available at 20:09 hours
