Attn: Treasurer. Please include a
name, address and phone number where you would like the ticket
to be mailed. Or stop by and pick one up at the station 133 East
Bishop Street.

FROM THE SOUTH SIDE

RECORD BREAKING YEAR
Dec 31st -
The "South Side" ends the year with record numbers! Total
Emergency calls for 2008 were 413 and Working Fires were
27.
NITTANY VALLEY DRIVE
HOUSE FIRE
Dec 24th -
At 12:39
Undine Fire Company was alerted for Fire Box 1602. TL-216 was
due for a reported dwelling fire on Nittany Valley Drive. E-16
arrived on the scene and reported normal conditions. All mutual
aid units were requested to stage on Nittany Valley Drive until
the lane was treated by public works. Engine 16's crew reported
a chimney fire with no extension to the dwelling. TL-216
operated on the scene for 50 minutes.

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY
Dec 20th -
The Undine's held the annual
Christmas Party at the club. Members were treated to an
outstanding meal and several appetizers. A special Thank You to
Vicky Grafmyre for preparing the meal. As usual she went above
and beyond our expectations.

TAKING A RIDE ON THE
POLAR EXPRESS
Dec 19th
-
The Undine Fire Company members
were invited to ride the "Polar Express" in Bellefonte. The
"Express" made a round trip from Bellefonte to Pleasant Gap.
While on the ride we had a special visit from Santa and his
crew. The Undine Fire Company would like to thank those
responsible for making this event a huge success.

TOYS FOR TOTS RUN
Dec 16th -
Undine members and their
families loaded up on the Ladder and Engine and several private
vehicle's and headed out for the annual Toys for Tots run. A
special Thank You to Supelco for the use of the box truck.

UNDINE FIRE POLICE
RECEIVE PLAQUE

Dec 16th -
The Undine Fire Police
were issued a plaque from the Bellefonte Cruise
Committee for their outstanding dedication and
commitment in aiding the Bellefonte Police
Department with crowd and traffic control for the
annual Bellefonte Cruse. Accepting the award on
behalf of the Undine Fire Police is Larry (Zeek)
Johnson. |

UNDINE'S AWARD 4 GUYS
FIRE APPARATUS THE BID
Dec 15th -
Bellefonte Borough awarded 4 Guys
Fire Apparatus the bid for a 2009 Spartan/4 Guys Engine. This
Engine will replace E-210 and Tanker 219. More details to follow
soon. The Undine Fire Company would also like to thank the
following Fire Apparatus venders for their bids. Seagrave,
Pierce, KME and Crimson Fire Apparatus. Hats off to the Engine
Committee for their time and patience on getting this
replacement Engine ordered before 2009.

ENGINE & TANKER ON
GARAGE FIRE
Dec 6th -
At 0914 hours, Centre County 911
alerted Fire Box 600 for a reported garage fire at 315 North 7th
Street, Snow Shoe Township. The fire box called for Tanker 219.
E-612 arrived on the scene to find a working fire on division 2
in a 50' by 28' 2 story detached garage, and quickly requested
more units, bringing E-212 to the scene.
E-212 was released from the scene
at 1306 hours. Tanker 219 was requested to transfer to Station
6. Tanker 219 cleared the transfer at 1413 hours.

COMPANY RECEIVES
RECOGNITION
Dec 3rd-
On
behalf of the Undine Fire Company, Chief Shultz received a
football plaque and an autographed photo signed by the entire
2008 Bellefonte High School Football Team for allowing Fire
Department members to set up the Tower Ladder and video tape all
the Bellefonte home games.

CENTRE COUNTY COURTHOUSE
GETS DECORATED
Dec 2nd-
Crews
gathered for the annual decorating of the Centre County Court
House. Both the Tower and Ladder were set up on each side of
the Court House to attach the greens in preparation of the
town's Victorian Christmas weekend.
